Circumplast® for infant circumcision decreases the risks of ring impaction and migration

Circumcision with the plastic ring is commonly performed in the community in children. Plastibell has been frequently used for children’s circumcisions. However, ring migration is often observed with Plastibell circumcision. Circumplast® is a relatively new ring which is increasingly being used in many practices in the UK. There is a real impact of the Circumplast® device in minimising the risk of ring migration and no interventions are required to remove the rings. A recent report of 2000 circumcision with Circumpalst devices in the UK clinic showed excellent outcomes and no migration of the ring.
